the Golden Garden Goddess

Hi there! I'm happy you made it here. I have an extremely strong passion for holistic health, farming, natural medicine, sustainability, healing foods, connecting with others, and turmeric. I studied nutrition, microbiology, and sustainable agriculture in college for 4 years, worked on a few farms, fell in love with the art of growing healing foods, then went on to study health coaching and also completed a specialized course in gut health. I am extremely infatuated with the microbiome, fermentation, and the bacteria all around us. I believe that I will always be a student of the Earth and continuing to expand my understanding of holistic well being. 

Throughout my health endeavors and my travels around the world, I had always heard about the healing powers of ~turmeric~. I would buy little powders, lattes, roots, etc, but truly, never felt much from consuming it.. One day, when I went to the Seaside farmer’s market, I met someone who completely changed my entire life. This man, this GreenMan, had been growing the most potent turmeric that I had ever encountered for roughly 10 years. This turmeric looked totally different than ANYTHING I had seen before. I knew I had to try it, so I bought $5 worth of root from him. I went home, juiced it, drank it, and FINALLY felt the true healing powers of turmeric... Holy, WOW. In this moment I learned that not all turmeric is created equal. The soil, intention, nutrients, minerals, water, location etc. make *the world* of a difference! I have found through first hand experience how magical turmeric truly is. Wow. I could speak for hours on this. 

I was hooked (I still am hooked). I contacted GreenMan and let him know that I could tell the difference in his root and that I needed to come work with him ASAP. Once I went out to work with him, I instantly felt SO connected to this land..  he shared with me that he has been looking for someone to purchase the farm from him for years. Driving away the first time, I knew what was coming.. He told me that he knew it was me who was meant to be the next care-taker of this sacred space. Holy wow. This was a huge step for me, but I knew that this was my next step on my journey.

Throughout the past year, I have been a steward of the land, providing turmeric to the community and also to others around the USA! I have learned a lot about farming through each experience, and continue to learn more every day. It is truly an honor to be able to provide others with healing roots from such extremely nutrient rich soil. My dream is to continue to help others and myself along their healing journies, to create products and grow foods that will enhance the quality of our lives. I whole heartedly believe that health is wealth and I am excited to share it with you.
