Turmeric Mama (starter plant)

Interested in growing your own turmeric. Start with a mama!

Dig a 6 inch hole, plant with pointier, skinnier side up and you’ll have turmeric in 9 months! I prefer to plant in March, and harvest in October or November when the leaves on top turn brown. 

Dig up the roots from under the plant, break off of mama and replant or store to replant in the spring.
